Introduction
KGB Carbon is a Yorkshire-based manufacturer, supplier, importer, and distributor of carbon fibre and glassfibre composites for sports and performance cars. Their reputation for quality engineering spans the automotive performance sector, from bespoke parts to specialist components.
The Challenge
KGB Carbon approached us with a clear goal. They needed a new online store to showcase and sell their full range of products. At the same time, they wanted to operate their existing Lotus Hard Tops brand from the same platform.
Previously, these brands had separate websites, which made updates time-consuming and less efficient. Managing stock, processing orders, and maintaining two different systems created unnecessary complexity. Consolidating both under one digital roof was the obvious way forward.
Our Solution
We designed and built a single e-commerce platform capable of running both KGB Carbon and Lotus Hard Tops simultaneously. By integrating two distinct storefronts within one system, the team could manage inventory, orders, and updates from a central dashboard.
The site’s structure ensures that each brand retains its unique identity while benefiting from shared resources. Visitors to either store enjoy a seamless browsing and purchasing experience, whether they’re exploring high-performance carbon fibre components or specialist Lotus hard tops.
Features and Functionality
To enhance usability, we implemented:
- Responsive design for smooth access across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.
- Custom navigation to make product discovery quick and intuitive.
- Integrated order management to streamline sales processes for both brands.
- Scalable architecture so additional products or features can be added without disruption.
Furthermore, the design maintains a clean, performance-driven aesthetic that reflects the precision and innovation behind KGB Carbon’s work.
Outcome
The new online store has transformed the way KGB Carbon manages its business. By running both brands from one platform, they’ve reduced admin time, improved operational efficiency, and enhanced the customer experience.
The result is a digital setup that not only meets current needs but also supports future growth — whether through expanded product lines, new partnerships, or enhanced e-commerce functionality.
