Coach House brewery was looking to update their logo, giving their brand a fresh new look yet still keeping a traditional feel. They asked LemonTop, a brand design agency from Darlington, to help them produce a simpler, more modern logo that would appeal to a wider variety of customers.
LemonTop recognised the importance of the traditional coach icon, which was used as part of their existing logo, and created a simplified version to use as the main focal point of the new brand. The new simplified logo design was then created in a variety of colours to be used across the different beers in the Coach House range. The new logo brings the Coach House brand up to date but maintains the traditional values and history of the brewery. It still appeals to existing customers but brings another dimension to promoting the brewery to a whole new market of beer drinkers. The new logo design is also easier to reproduce on a variety of materials whether it be pump clips, tshirts or point of sale items.
LemonTop were then asked to refresh the Coach House pump clips, creating a new unique shape that could be used for all beers in the range. The new shape meant we could make the most of the new logo whilst combining it with some of the imagery from their existing pump clip designs to keep that little bit of familiarity for those who already know and drink the beers.
Martin Bailey MD of Coachhouse said ”I first met Lemon Top at Beerex in March 2016, following on from this we developed a good rapport and I decided to use Andy and his team for rebranding work on the Brewery and website. The initial ideas were great and on brief (As well as a few extra out their ideas!), they have been really flexible, had fantasticturnaround time and available whenever needed. Due to the quality of product and service I have put additional work in their direction.”
