Introduction
In 2016, Maguires Country Parks returned to us to design their latest brochure. They wanted a fresh, updated look that built on the success of the previous edition.
Moreover, the brochure needed to showcase park attractions, seasonal events, and visitor experiences while remaining visually appealing and easy to read.
The Brief
The client asked for a brochure that could:
- Highlight updated park facilities and new activities
- Appeal to families, tourists, and local visitors
- Include clear maps, opening times, and seasonal event information
- Be visually attractive, easy to navigate, and consistent with the park’s branding
Additionally, they requested a design that could adapt for future updates, ensuring longevity and flexibility.
The Design Approach
To begin, we reviewed the previous brochure to identify successful elements and areas for improvement. This informed our design strategy and ensured continuity with the brand.
Next, we reorganized the content to make it more engaging and scannable. We introduced clear headings, concise text blocks, and visual cues to guide the reader through the brochure.
Furthermore, we incorporated updated photography of the parks’ landscapes, wildlife, and attractions. This emphasized the parks’ natural beauty and highlighted new experiences for visitors.
In addition, we added maps, icons, and navigation aids to make it easier for readers to plan their visits. These elements enhanced clarity and usability.
To create a cohesive and inviting aesthetic, we refined the colour palette and typography. This ensured a fresh, natural look that aligned with the parks’ identity.
Finally, we ensured the brochure was print-ready and versatile, allowing the parks to update events and information quickly for future editions.
The Outcome
As a result, the 2016 brochure successfully highlighted Maguires Country Parks’ attractions and seasonal offerings.
Consequently, visitors could navigate easily, plan trips efficiently, and discover new experiences at the parks.
By combining engaging design, updated photography, clear navigation, and flexible content, the brochure reinforced the parks’ brand. Ultimately, it increased visitor interest and strengthened the connection with the local community.
