The story of the missing notebook.
Wilkinson and English were extraordinary gentlemen. Eccentric, innovative, genius…words used to describe these friends who revolutionised the Gin industry. Both men loved to travel. English loved sampling the World’s different Gins and would often find himself worse for wear at the breakfast table of a high class hotel, evoking a playfully disapproving look from Wilkinson.
His notebook was teeming with flavours & ingredients. This notebook was where the ideas were grown and it eventually led to the production of one of the World’s finest Gins. However, today the notebook is gone. Nobody knows of its whereabouts.
Wilkinson English Gin is still produced in Paradise Row, the same place the two visionaries started their journey. The recipes and methods are closely guarded secrets held by one member of the Wilkinson family who still proudly uses the Wilkinson English name.
