Background
RedStone Brewery is a craft brewery based in a converted Edwardian granary on a farm near Llangors Lake in the Brecon Beacons National Park. Founded in 2012, they produce small batches of high-quality, flavourful beers. Their location and hands-on approach give their beers a unique character, appealing to both local and visiting craft beer enthusiasts.
The Challenge
While experimenting with new batches and beer names, RedStone needed pump clips that could be reused and easily updated. They wanted a solution that would allow them to print in bulk but also write beer names by hand. The goal was to create flexible, visually appealing pump clips that maintained brand recognition while supporting their experimental brewing process.
Our Approach
We began by understanding RedStone’s brand identity, the character of their beers, and the rustic feel of their location. Our design team focused on capturing the essence of the granary and the surrounding landscape, while keeping the layout clean and professional.
Next, we created a design that allowed space for handwritten beer names. This approach gave RedStone the flexibility they needed while keeping the design consistent and recognizable. Bold typography highlighted the brewery’s name, ensuring clear visibility for customers on the bar.
Design Features
- Adaptable Layout: Space for handwritten beer names while maintaining a professional appearance.
- Brand Consistency: Design elements inspired by the granary and nearby lake reinforced RedStone’s identity.
- Practicality: Clips could be printed in bulk, saving time and cost while supporting small-batch experimentation.
The Result
The final design delivered a practical, visually appealing solution. RedStone could now print a batch of pump clips and update beer names easily as new brews were developed. The design reinforced their brand, communicated quality, and supported their creative brewing process.
Conclusion
By combining bold visuals with functional features, LemonTop created a flexible solution that reflected RedStone Brewery’s small-batch ethos. The pump clips not only enhanced brand recognition but also gave the brewery the freedom to experiment and innovate.
