Maguires Country Parks site maps

Introduction

Maguires Country Parks own multiple luxury caravan parks across the North East of England. They approached us to create detailed maps for each of their six parks.

The parks included: The Kaims Bamburgh, Forget Me Not Country Park, Newbus Grange Country Park, Ord House Country Park, and Swainby Country Park.

The Brief

The client wanted maps that were:

• Accurate and detailed

• Visually engaging

• Easy for visitors to understand

• Suitable for print and digital use

They also wanted each map to highlight key features and amenities while reflecting the character of each park.

Our Approach

To start, we used aerial drone footage as a reference to capture each park’s layout and surroundings.

Then, we created custom illustrated maps that showed every key feature clearly.

Additionally, we chose an isometric perspective. This approach allowed us to create more space within each design and add a playful, engaging flair.

By combining accuracy with visual storytelling, we made the maps both functional and enjoyable to explore.

The Outcome

The final maps clearly communicated the layout of each park while adding personality and charm.

Visitors could easily identify facilities, routes, and landmarks. Meanwhile, the isometric style enhanced understanding by showing relationships between different areas at a glance.

This project demonstrates how a careful choice of style can improve clarity, usability, and overall engagement.
